Structured payment communication Belgium

Structured payment communication Belgium

A structured payment communication is a code that you need to add to your payments so that your payment processor can easily identify these payments and link them to the right invoices or orders. In Belgium, a standardised payment communication consisting of a series of numbers and characters is used.

The structured payment communication in Belgium looks like this (the value is fictional):

+++090/9337/55493+++

The code consists of three parts: the plus sign (+), followed by a structured part of 12 digits that is unique to each payment, and finally a plus sign (+). It is important to check that the communication generated is correct and unique to each payment to facilitate its processing.

To generate a structured payment communication, go to the platform and open a new invoice. Then click on the "change" button at the bottom right of payment feature. Here you can enter or generate your structured payment communication based on your billing information.
